About Me

Hello and welcome to CraftyHomeschool, my little corner of blogland. My name is Len and I'm a homeschooling mother of three great kids. We started this homeschool journey because of my oldest son (Boo as he's know here), at four years old he was diagnosed ADHD. He struggled with school from the beginning and half way through first grade we decided to start homeschooling him, little did I know I would soon be homeschooling three kids, not just one. I started this blog as a means to help other families who are interested in homeschooling and to provide hands on learning ideas. Please feel free to leave me a comment or send me an e-mail, I really enjoy hearing from you.

~ My Kids ~

-My 8 year old boy, aka Boo. Why the nick name, well he was a complete surprise, we say he was our peek-a-boo baby and it has slowly been shorted to just Boo. He is energetic, loving, silly, fun, and full of all that is good in life, all in one package. I have watched my shy little boy change into a confident, happy, responsible young man right before my eyes and I couldn't be prouder. I'm not sure who has done more teaching, him or me. I may teach him life skills and school material but the things he has taught me are far more valuable, slow down and just live in the moment.

-My 5 year old girl, aka Sis. She received that name at our first ultra sound appointment when we found out it was a girl, we have called her Sis since that day. She is my sunshine, she is the happiest little girl I have ever meet, nothing gets her down. She is ready with words of encouragement and hugs the second you need them. She LOVES everyone and everything. She has an amazing amount of energy and there is no half way for Sis, it's all or nothing.
-Last but never least, my baby girl who is 2, aka Bean. The nick name Bean originated because she was my smallest baby to date and when I was nursing her I would call her my Beanie Baby, slowly it has been shortened to Bean. She is my little snuggle bug. She loves to learn and wants to see, touch, feel, taste, and climb on EVERYTHING. She is the silly one in the family, she is always saying or doing something to make us laugh.
